Getting to the districts require the visitor to make prior arrangements and adjustments to their trips as some of the districts are limited via its transport services. It is said and believed that dwelling in Hong Kong Island would be costlier than other districts in Hong Kong. Food here would definitely costlier than places like Kowloon and New Territories as most of the food outlet here consists of restaurants and small cafes are harder to find. The most original site during the British’s colonisation is Hong Kong Island. Alike most island countries, land here is scarce and expensive. Most of the population here are secluded around the northern area of the island. Most sceneries and photo images of Hong Kong’s buildings and skyscrapers are found here. Most known spots are very much mushroomed around this area. On the southern section of Hong Kong Island, the less busy activities evolve, like beaches and resorts. South bound of Hong Kong Island is Kowloon, another well known district. This urban area of Hong Kong is divided into two main areas New Kowloon and Kowloon Peninsular. Housing also the Victoria Harbour, which is located in the south, Kowloon is the most populated area district in the country. The New Territories was named by the British during their colonisation as well. This is a district, more familiarly known as NT, encompasses various other attractions like the Kat Hing Wai Walled Village and the Hong Kong Heritage Museum among many others. One should note that food in around the New Territories are cheaper compared to Kowloon and Hong Kong Island is great for the food lover. There is a group of islands surrounding the mainlands. Known as Outlying Islands, this includes the two hundred over other islands including Lantau Island which is about twice the size of Hong Kong Island. The Outlying provides the tourist the chance to experience and view the traditional fishing lifestyle of a typical Hong Kong village. |
