The most appealing attraction in Hong Kong perhaps would be its shopping nature. The shopping paradise is so often associated for any visiting tourist for its range of branded goods to imitation ones, from expensive goods to bargains, one can find abundantly in Hong Kong.
Due to its close proximity with China, goods can be transported with ease. Being a tax free country for tourists, there are no VATs involved. Basically one could go around Hong Kong Island and Tsim Sha Tsui to shop at the malls and Kowloon is where bargains can be found.
Famous shopping malls are like Harbour City, Festival Walk (which includes a skating rink), Cityplaza, Pacific Place, The Landmark, APM (a 24 hours shopping mall), Times Square, Citygate Outlet and IFC Mall. At Tsim Sha Tsui is DFS (Duty Free Shopping) where one can find duty free goods.
Apart from its malls, Hong Kong are very famous for its street markets. Very much like China town in European and American cities, this is where food and bargains congregate. One has to be careful of personal belongings as these places are always filled with people from all walks of life.
The Ladies Market is one of the most famous spots. One can find imitation goods here and a lot of food. Located at Mong Kong, this is where one has to put their bargaining skills to work. Places like Flower Market and Goldfish Market are also attractions selling specialized goods. There are other street markets like the Bird Market, Temple Street, Seafood Street, Apliu Street and the Stanley Market, a famous tourist attraction, very much alike Ladies Street.
